Pole pruners from STIHL: What You Should Know

Winter tree pruning is at the top of many people’s to-do lists once the leaves begin falling. With the reach you need to work on smaller trees and lower branches on larger trees, pole pruners make that task so much simpler.

Various kinds of reliable pole pruners are available from STIHL, including cordless and petrol variants. Each model is designed to help you do the task quickly and effectively.  STIHL pole pruners have a lot to offer.

STIHL Cordless Pole Pruners

The STIHL HTA 65 and HTA 85 cordless pole pruners are a good place to start. Since both of these are professional battery-powered tools that are a part of the AP System, the batteries you use in them may be used in over 25 other products from the same line.

The battery technology used by STIHL has undergone extensive research and development, and our 36v batteries have a clever power management system to help you maintain steady power from the first trigger pull to the last.

Our pole pruners are a great example of this because they can be turned on and off with the push of a button, making a work so much more efficient, especially if you are taking on many trees at once.

Our STIHL cordless pole pruners have further advantages besides only being lightweight, silent, and vibration-free. Since the STIHL HTA 85 has a vibration value of just 1.0 m/s2, using it for prolonged periods of time is much more comfortable.

The cordless pole pruners can also be operated with either hand because there is no exhaust.

The HTA 65 is our lightest pole pruner, weighing in at 5.1 kg with the suggested AP 200 battery. It is a fixed-length model with a total length of 240 cm. You can use our larger capacity batteries, or even one of our backpack batteries with an adaptor, if you require longer run periods, as this battery provides approximately 42 minutes of working time.

The STIHL HTA 85 is a telescopic battery-powered pole pruner that extends from 270 cm to 390 cm if you require extra reach. Thanks to its quiet operation and low exhaust emissions, this machine is excellent for use in populated areas. The AP 300 battery, which provides approximately 55 minutes of operating time, is suggested for this model to provide you the ideal balance.

Both are pre-equipped with a 1/4″ PM3 saw chain and a 30cm guide bar.

Petrol pole pruners from STIHL

STIHL HT 131

We also offer three petrol pole pruners, the STIHL HT 103, HT 131, and HT 133, if cordless machines aren’t your thing. The STIHL 4-MIX engine, which is equipped in all three of these petrol versions, is built to deliver more power and torque at a lower RPM. You can truly get the most out of your equipment with these engines because they are cleaner and more effective.

Both the HT 103 and the HT 133 have square-cut shaft designs that are both incredibly solid and comfortable to use. These versions also use a 1/4″ PM3 saw chain, which provides a good cut quality while minimising vibration and backlash. They both feature captive nuts on the sprocket cover as well, making it simple to switch out the bar and chain.

STIHL HT 133

The HT 131 also produces an incredibly efficient cut thanks to its round shaft and 3/8″ PMM3 saw chain. In order to start the tool with minimum effort, it also has automatic decompression.

When trimming large trees and remotely thinning out shrubs, our gasoline pole pruners provide dependable, consistent performance.

Using Pole Pruner Accessories, simplify the work.

WILDCAT RTS Harness

We also produce a number of pole pruner attachments, such as our RTS harness, which truly do make the task simpler.

This may be used with all five of our pole pruners and is intended to transfer the weight of a long-reach tool to your hips in order to lessen the strain on your back. If you plan to use any long-reach tool for an extended period of time, it is definitely worth considering. Additionally, it is simply adjustable to fit your size.

Additionally, our pole pruners can be installed with any of our two angled gear heads. These are helpful if there is restricted access to the branch, and they also improve visibility when making an undercut into a branch.

They can also aid in keeping you further away from any branches’ potential drop zones.

So, no matter what you need to prune or where you are, we have the pole pruner and accessories for you.
