The Mountfield SP46 gives you the option for cutting, mulching or just discharging the trimmings depending on the task in hand.For cutting, the SP46s blade width reaches 46cm and the blade height can be adjusted to any of the 6 positions available ranging from 22mm – 65mm, this offers a more precise and accurate cut and enable the mower to cope with different lawn lengths. All the cuttings will be collected into the canvas hardtop grass bag which has a large 60-litre volume capacity and with a ‘full’ indictor to boot, will make sure you get decent mowing times between empty stops.If you want to save time and there is no real need to empty, then mulching will be a great option. Once the mulch plug is inserted, the mower finely cuts the clippings and redirects them back to your lawn where they will act as a natural fertiliser. The mulching plug is included as standardThis Mountfield SP46 features its ‘operator presence control’ safety measure which means the engine only runs when you are holding onto the handles. Once you let go the engine simply cuts out and stops which means the blades will also stop.
