Accurate and powerful cutting ability with the Stihl HL 94 C-E

Working on tall hedges has never been easier with the long reach hedge trimmer. It’s much safer to work from ground level than hoisting a heavy cutter up a ladder and above your head. The HL 94 CE is the ultimate petrol tool to safely achieve those perfect cuts.

The blade itself is 60 cm in length with double-sided cutting performance, meaning you can trim from both angles. Also, the blade has a large tooth spacing of 34 mm to tackle the thicker branches with ease.

From ground level, it’s simple to manoeuvre the blade to height with help from the 2.4m shaft. Simply use one hand to control the speed and power of the petrol engine, and the other hand to guide the trimming blade across the hedge in an agile fashion. Furthermore, you can cut vertically or horizontally by adjusting the angle of the blade to a maximum of 145 degrees both ways.

Fuel efficient 2-mix engine

A powerful yet fuel-efficient 24.1cc Stihl petrol engine powers the HL94CE. As with all the new models of Stihl hedge trimmers, the engine uses 2-mix technology. This means your trimmer will benefit from lower fuel consumption, decreased emissions.

Additionally, there is a huge increase to power output and acceleration, helped by the reduced weight of the motor (compared to previous models).

Another great addition is the Ecospeed function which gives you full control over the speed of operation. Simply adjust the dial to a more economic mode, the HL 94 C-E will use less fuel and meaning you can use your long reach hedge trimmer for longer without refilling the tank.

Simple to start, easy to operate

ErgoStart is a revelation in Stihl products! Fortunately, the HL 94 C-E has this system built-in, reducing the effort to start the 2-mix petrol engine. It’s child’s play to start – just use two fingers and pull the start cord.

Priming the fuel pump is easy too, just push the button to add fuel to the carburettor to reduce the number of pulls to start.

All operations are on the main engine unit in easy reach, with the throttle body, starter cord, ecospeed dial, manual fuel pump all conveniently placed. What’s more, you can easily operate the control with one hand whilst using the other hand to manoeuvre the long reach trimmer using the loop handle.

Reducing the fatigue of the operator is also helped by the shoulder strap attachment, helping you control and carry the Stihl trimmer.

The STIHL 2-mix engine specially designed for the new generation of hedge trimmer combines low consumption and emissions ​​with low weight and excellent acceleration. There are also always sufficient power reserves for cutting thicker shrubs.

STIHL ErgoStart (E)

A genuine advance in easy starting. STIHL ErgoStart (E) cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. All it takes is 2 fingers and a gentle pull action.

STIHL Ecospeed

With the ECOSPEED function, you can use your long reach hedge trimmer in a more economical operating mode. Simply turn the wheel to the minus direction, thereby reducing the maximum engine speed. This keeps your long reach hedge trimmer running at partial load; however, despite this limited setting, you can shift to full capacity whennecessary by pressing the throttle lever. Operating at partial load reduces fuel consumption and you can work much longer with one tank.

Blade system

Double-sided cutting blades ensure a powerful and precise cut even through thicker branches.

Quick-release adjustment system

The cutter bar can be adjusted in increments up to 145° in two directions. To save space, the cutter bar can be folded parallel to the shaft, and locked, for transport.

Loop handle

The loop handle gives you maximum flexibility and easy operation even in confined working conditions.

Clip

The clip for the belt is rotatable, making the tool easier to manoeuvre.

Manual fuel pump (purger)

A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting pulls required following extended breaks in operations.

Shoulder strap / carrying system

Using a STIHL shoulder strap or carrying harness with soft padding makes work more comfortable, particularly during lengthy jobs.
