The Stihl HSA 56 is a lightweight battery-operated hedge trimmer, an ideal tool for pruning dense hedges. It is fitted with an 18-inch double-sided blade, to allow you to trim away large areas with ease and control. A huge benefit of this tool is being completely cordless, with no leads or a noisy petrol engine limiting your use.
- Cordless technology,
- 18″ / 45 cm blade,
- Double-sided blade for efficiency,
- 30mm tooth spacing for attacking larger branches,
- Ideal for the noise-sensitive area due to quietness
- Available with AK10 battery and charger,
- 2-year warranty (domestic only).
There are no limits to where you trim hedges with the Stihl HSA 56
Being a Stihl cordless hedge trimmer, you can be sure the HSA 56 is ready to use whenever and wherever. Being battery operated offers many advantages, such as no limitations of a corded electrical lead or a petrol engine’s harmful emissions.
As there is no fuel operation, there are far less moving parts to the HSA56, which you will be glad to know makes this garden trimmer maintenance free. An electric motor’s simplicity also reduces the numbing experience of vibrations through the handle,
so it’s very comfortable to operate.
Using this Stihl cordless tool, you will notice a considerable weight reduction and quietness compared to petrol versions. It’s more compact, which means it’s easier to manoeuvre, it’s light to reduce fatigue.
Operate with ease because of the adequate and straightforward controls.
Tackling thick hedges from all angles is a breeze with this Stihl HSA 56, and it’s all down to design. Attached to the hedge trimmer is a large 45-centimetre blade for cutting a vast amount of branches at once. It’s also double-sided with 30-millimetre
tooth spacing to allow you to cut through heavy branches with no problems.
Starting and the stopping the HSA 56 is very simple as there’s no complicated start-up sequence (compared to a petrol hedge trimmer). Plugin your charged Stihl battery into the back of the tool and use the trigger to turn on the blades. No combatting
with twisted electrical cables or priming a petrol engine – a cordless hedge trimmer is far easier to use.
Safety comes as standard too, with a handy tip protector fitted to the blade. This feature protects the tool from damage when cutting close to the ground or a wall.
Which battery and charger combination should I use?
We recommend for the Stihl HSA 56 you purchase 2 x AK 10 batteries and the AL 101 charger (available as a promo kit). This combination will allow you to operate the battery-operated hedge trimmer for around 50 mins per battery (100 minutes in total).
A single AK 20 battery will offer the same total run time, but will take longer to charge,
It’s noteworthy the AK 10 is compatible with all Stihl AL 101, AL 100, AL 300 and AL 500 chargers, should you already own them.
