WITH TELESCOPIC SHAFT FOR EFFICIENT PROFESSIONAL USE IN TREE CARE

The powerful EC motor of the STIHL HTA 160 is powered by lithium-ion batteries from the STIHL AP system. The lightweight, robust magnesium gear supports easy manoeuvring. You can use the pole pruner to make cuts on branches and trees up to 20 cm in diameter. Thanks to the professional telescopic shaft with a particularly rigid square profile, the desired total length of the HTA can be easily adjusted from 160 to 405 cm thanks to the quick adjustment. This makes precise positioning and precise cuts possible even in higher areas of trees. To thin out treetops, you can even work at a height of around 5 m. The HTA 160 can be used with STIHL 3/8″ P saw chains, such as the STIHL 3/8″ P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) chain, or with 1/4″ P-STIHL saw chains, such as the 1/4″ P Picco Micro 3 (PM3)  can be used. With 1/4″ STIHL saw chains, no hearing protection is required, meaning that work in noise-sensitive areas is also possible.

A robust branch hook moulded onto the compact cutting head makes it easier to grip and remove loose clippings. The sprocket cover is equipped with a levelling bar for precise positioning and side chip ejection. All controls of the STIHL HTA 160 are conveniently in your hand on the ergonomically optimized operating handle with LED display. The standard STIHL stand protects the motor housing of the pole pruner from contact with the ground. An easy-to-clean air filter with metal mesh supports optimal engine cooling and thus ensures a long service life for your STIHL HTA 160. The optionally available STIHL RTS backpack system allows you to optimally relieve the burden of longer work while maintaining a high level of freedom of movement.

All cordless tools within the STIHL AP system are designed for professional users and for daily use, even under adverse weather conditions. Therefore, they have tested splash water protection. The effectiveness is proven through demanding internal tests. The splash water test is based, among other things, on the IPX4 standard.

FOR MORE CONTROL AT YOUR WORK. For better directional control when setting and sawing with your pole pruner, the guide bar has been integrated into the sprocket cover as a raised line.

BRANCH HOOK

REMOVE LOOSE CUTTINGS. Thanks to the sturdy branch hook, you can remove loose and cut branches from great heights.

PROFESSIONAL TELESCOPIC SHAFT

PRECISE WORK WITH A LARGE RANGE. This telescopic shaft has a square tube for particularly precise cuts. This offers a particularly high rigidity of the shaft when extended and thus supports exact positioning and precise execution when sawing branches at greater distances.

LIGHTWEIGHT, ROBUST MAGNESIUM GEAR

LOW WEIGHT WITH HIGH ROBUSTNESS. Especially in the professional sector, low weight is of great importance at work. Thanks to the lightweight material magnesium, you get a weight reduction while maintaining the robustness of the transmission. This reduces your workload and gives the device a long service life.

BATTERY SUPPORT IN THE MOTOR HOUSING

DIRECT POWER SUPPLY TO THE DEVICE. With this device you can insert the required battery from the STIHL AP system directly into the motor housing. This increases your mobility and flexibility when working.

STAND

PREVENTS DIRECT CONTACT TO THE GROUND. The stand supplied as standard prevents the housing from being placed directly on the floor. This protects the housing from contamination and moisture.

AIR FILTER WITH METAL MESH

OPTIMAL ENGINE COOLING. The air filter with fine metal mesh cleans the air and thus ensures optimal engine cooling. Since it can be easily cleaned itself, it also offers a long service life.
