Start by loosening coarse debris from the bar groove, oil lubrication channel and cylinder ribs of your STIHL chainsaw. You do this by scraping it off with the metal blade of the groove scraper and brushing off the loose dirt particles with the plastic bristles of the cleaning brush. Then spray all parts with STIHL VarioClean Eco. This universal detergent, specially designed for gentle cleaning, consists of 92% of ingredients of natural origin. This ecological cleaner lets you quickly and effectively remove dirt from all plastic, metal (iron or aluminium), rubber or even painted surfaces. Spray it on the saw chain, bar or housing to dissolve oil, grease, resin and organic dirt. The Ecocert-certified cleaner STIHL VarioClean Eco contains biodegradable surfactants. You rinse it with water.

Thanks to STIHL VarioClean Eco, cleaning your chainsaw’s HD2 air filter is child’s play: spray it with STIHL VarioClean Eco and let it work for a while before rinsing the filter with warm water. The filter is then as good as new. So you do not have to replace it, which is also good for the environment.
