The Stihl RMI 632 P Automatic Mower – A Compact Robotic Lawn Mower | STIHL GB
The RMI 632 P iMOW® robotic mower is perfect for lawns up to 4000 m² with its long-life Lithium-Ion battery on board. The iMOW® RMI 632 P automatic mower can cut your lawn to your set specification with ease. Intelligence with speed and efficiency as well as being extremely practical – during the mowing process, all the cuttings are finely shredded finely and returned back into the soil providing natural fertilising to help promote a lush green lawn and all without the need to dispose of any grass cuttings. A powerful battery onboard ensures your lawn gets the perfect cut in only a few hours. The RMI 632 P will automatically take itself back to the docking station when it detects the battery is starting to run low, then decide what type of charge is required depending on the mowing schedule programmed, helping to reduce energy consumption. The iMOW® is fitted with a movable hood with inbuilt sensors so in the unlikely event the automatic mower makes contact with any obstacles, the impact is deflected along the movable hood, and the mower will change direction. Mowing times are simply programmed using the control panel. To adjust the cut height required, the rotary knob on top of the mower will simply allow you to adjust the cutting height to 15 different settings from 20mm – 60mm. Being automatic you can now leave all the mowing tasks to the iMOW® and spend your free time doing the things you enjoy. The RMI 632 P comes with a generous 5 year extended domestic warranty (subject to registration and annual servicing). For more information contact your local approved iMOW® dealer. An installation kit is required for installation. The STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers comply with all applicable safety standards. However, the iMOW® robotic mower is not a toy. During the iMOW® robotic mower’s active times children, bystanders and animals must be kept out of the working area. Please refer to the operating instructions for further information. An FSA 45 Lithium-Ion grass trimmer is being offered free by Stihl, with any iMOW® purchased from us as your Stihl dealer. A great offer to take advantage of.

Bright LCD Display
For operating convenience, the control panel features a large LCD display and can also be removed on the RMI 6 series models. This offers a very intuitive way of recording all settings, and a convenient way of viewing all functions and performance data of the automatic lawn mower. Designed with a high-contrast display, its large LCD panel is easy to read even in sunlight.
Movable Hood
The movable hood with its inbuilt sensors will protect the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower from the weather and also from any obstacles. If the iMOW® robotic mower happens to come up against an obstacle during its automatic mowing, the integrated sensors will detect any contact with the object and change direction.
Standard Equipment
The STIHL iMOW® robotic mower package includes the RMI 632P machine itself, the smart docking station with four pegs for securing it to the ground, along with an iMOW® ruler as an aid for laying the required perimeter wire for the system to communicate with the mower. Please be advised that an installation kit is also required to install the iMOW® robotic mower.
Smart Dock
The docking station is included for the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower, is the robotic mower’s home and is also where it recharges its battery. At the same time, the dock is also the start point for each mowing operation. When the mower is in operation, it is guided by a signal transmitted by the perimeter wire installed at the edge of your lawn, this signal, in turn, is fed via the docking station itself. If the weather turns and it rains or if the battery has begun to run down during mowing, the iMOW® robotic mower independently returns to the smart dock to recharge its battery. Thanks to the docks intelligent charging system, the iMOW® will decide independently whether a speed charge is necessary due to another imminent mowing run or whether the battery should be charged more gently in normal mode to conserve power. The docking station is versatile enough to be either located within or outside the lawn area.
Mulching Mowing Deck
The iMOW® deck has been built with a sturdy mulching blade which ensures precise cutting patterns, even on grass with higher growth. The blades rotational direction will change automatically every time it stops, to help ensure that the blade of the automatic lawn mower wears evenly. A great feature of the blade design is it can be changed without the need for tools.
Alternative Drive Home
The iMOW® robotic mower will journey back home to the smart docking station along the perimeter wire by default. Alternatively and if needed, it can also travel to the dock with an alternating offset to the perimeter wire but this is dependant on the condition of the edge of the mowing area,
A Removable Control Panel
The panel is flush-mounted into the housing of the automatic lawn mower and can also be removed for convenient access The control panel with its integrated, clear bright display is used on all STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers and aids for easy setup, manual control and quick viewing of the machine information. With its high-contrast display, it means the control panel can also be used in sunlight.
iMOW® Robotic Mower Drive
The RMI 6 series models can handle lawns with a gradient of up to 45% and feature a drive that enables them to mow on hilly terrain with consistently high quality.
Adaptive Slope Speed
Using the adaptive slope speed function which is part of the STIHL iMOWs control system, the robotic mower can adapt its speed on uneven terrain. An integrated tilt sensor will constantly analyse the mowers and adapt its speed accordingly.
Dynamic Mowing Plan
Using the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower interactive mowing plan, individual time windows during which the machine can be in operation can be predefined for each day. Within the active times, the Stihl RMI 632P lawn mower automatically determines the most suitable times to mow for an optimum result. If it has to cut short any mowing schedules because of rain, it automatically catches up later within the specified time windows set. This dynamic mowing plan can be called up and amended via the control panel at any time.
Wheels with Traction Pattern
The robotic mowers wheels are self-cleaning and the smooth-running wheels with their traction pattern ensure that the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower moves with precision. This is especially on hilly lawns with a gradient of up to 45% and dense grass.
STIHL IMOW FAQ’s
How do I adjust the cutting height?
You can adjust the cutting height using the rotary knob on top of the iMOW® robotic mower. Select the desired cutting height with reference to the marking on the rotary knob.
- The minimum cutting height (setting 1) is 20 mm
- The maximum cutting height (setting 8) is 60 mm
What happens to the cuttings?
The iMOW® robotic mower is a mulching mower. During mulching, the grass clippings are further shredded in the mowing deck housing after cutting. They then fall back into the turf, where they remain and decompose. The finely shredded clippings return organic nutrients to the lawn, serving as a natural fertiliser. Fertiliser requirements are thereby reduced significantly.
Where are the ‘no go’ areas?
No-go areas are areas where the iMOW® robotic mower should not venture. No-go areas can include
- Ponds
- Swimming pools
- Flowerbeds
- Vegetable patches
These areas must be cordoned off by routing the perimeter wire accordingly
Can the RMI 632P Robotic Lawnmower mow lawn edges cleanly?
Soft edges (ground level patios, paths, etc.) are positioned inside the perimeter wire in such a way that the mower produces perfectly clean results. Around hard edges such as walls, raised patios, etc., the iMOW® robotic mower is installed in such a way that it travels as close to the edge as possible, but always safely.
How does the rain sensor work?
The rain sensor can be set so that mowing is interrupted or does not start when it is raining. The current value is displayed in a line diagram in the menu under “SMART” > “Weather” > “Rain sensor”. In order to set the 5-stage sensor, slide the control to the left or right. The rain sensor can also be set under “Settings” > “Rain sensor”. The sensitivity of the rain sensor and the time the robotic mower waits for the sensor surface to dry following rain varies, depending on the setting.
What happens when the battery on the IMOW is completely discharged?
The iMOW® robotic mower enters the docking station automatically at the end of the mowing operation or when the battery is low on energy. The number and duration of the mowing and charging operations within the active times are adapted fully automatically – Download PDF Manual Here (If Available)

Only Collected it a few days ago but was very impressed with its first run out. Being used for a small private sports area, it coped well with a decent finish.
