The Stihl RMI 632 – A smart robotic mower for lawns up to 3000m² from STIHL GB
As the robotic lawn mower is fully automatic, once the RMI 632 has been installed it will mow, charge and adjust its schedule self sufficiently. It’s intelligent enough to know that when the battery runs low, to return itself back to the smart docking station. Depending on the programmed schedule, it will also decide whether a fast or slow charge is required. The iMOW® RMI 632 robot lawn mower uses its dynamic mowing plan with intelligent charging system, to be programmed to mow lawns up to 3,000 m². So rest assured you can relax knowing that your grass is being taken care of. An efficient mulching blade is part of the design and ensures your lawn will look lush and green without the need for fertilisers. The RMI 632 automatic lawn mower will shred the cuttings finely to be fed back onto your lawn which will provide vital nourishment meaning a healthier and thicker lawn. This also means there is no need to collect or dispose of any clippings. Stihl offer a generous 5-year extended domestic warranty with the RMI 632 (subject to registration and annual servicing). For more information please contact your local iMOW® dealer. The STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers comply with all applicable safety standards. However, the iMOW® robotic mower is not a toy. While the robotic mower is in operation, children, bystanders and animals must be kept out of the working area. Please refer to the operating instructions for further information. A bonus from STIHL to keep your edges and borders in check, is the free FSA 45 Lithium-Ion grass trimmer that they are offering with any STIHL iMOW® purchased from your local specialist iMOW® dealer

Take a look at the video below for an overview of the Stihl iMOW® mower https://youtu.be/qK8iZLzmo_A
Clear & Bright LCD Display
With a high-contrast display it makes it easy to read the large LCD display, even in sunlight. The display is part of the control panel which can also be removed on the RMI 6 series models for ultimate concvenience. This provides an intuitive way of recording all settings, and offers a convenient way of viewing all functions and performance data of the automatic lawn mower.
A Movable Hood
The movable hood has inbuilt sensors to protect the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower from weather and obstacles. If the iMOW® robotic mower encounters an obstacle during its mowing runs, the integrated sensors will detect any contact with the object and divert it in another direction.
All-Round Protection
The STIHL iMOW® robotic mower is equipped with a number of various sensors to protect itself and its surroundings. It will for example, stop mowing if someone attempts to pick it up while mowing. In addition to this, the RMI 632 automatic lawn mower can be protected with a PIN code to prevent it from any unauthorised use.
Equipment As Standard
As standard, the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower includes the machine itself, the smart docking station with four pegs for securing to the ground as well as an iMOW® ruler as an aid for laying the perimeter wire. Be advised that an installation kit will also required to install the iMOW® robotic mower.
The Intelligent Docking Station
Included as standard equipment, the docking station is both the robotic mower’s home and also where it charges its battery and is the starting point for every mowing operation. When driving, the automatic lawnmower is guided by the signal transmitted by the installed perimeter wire at the edge of your lawn. This signal is fed via the smart docking station and If it rains, or the battery runs down during mowing, the iMOW® robotic mower independently returns to the docking station to recharge its battery. Its intelligent charging system will then independently decide whether an express charge is necessary, due to the need for another mowing operation or whether the battery could be charged more gently in normal mode. The docking station can be placed within or outside the lawn area.
Mulching Mowing Deck
The mulching blade fitted is of a sturdy design and will ensure a precise cut pattern, even if the grass has a slightly higher growth. The RMI 632 will change the rotational direction of the blade every time its stops, meaning the blades of the automatic lawnmower wear evenly. A welcome feature to the iMOW®, is the blade can also be changed without the need for tools.
Offset Drive Home
The iMOW® robotic mower will travel back home to the docking station, along the perimeter wire by default and If required, can also travel to its docking station via an alternating offset route to the perimeter wire. This will be depending on the condition of the edge of the mowing area. The control panel with its integrated and bright display is used on all STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers for easy setup, manual control and fast display of machine information. The large high-contrast display means the control panel can also be used in sunlight. This panel is conveniently flush-mounted in the housing of the automatic lawn mower and can also be removed for convenient access.
iMOW® Robotic Mower Drive
The STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers feature a drive that enables them to mow hilly terrain with consistently high quality. The RMI 632 can handle gradients of up to 45%,
Adaptive Slope Speed
The STIHL iMOW® robotic mower can function effortlessly on uneven terrain. and with its integrated tilt sensor, constantly analyses the position of the automatic lawnmower and can adapt its speed accordingly by using its adaptive slope speed function,
Intelligent Mowing Plan
Using the STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers interactive mowing plan, separate mowing time sessions during which the machine can be operational can be programmed for each day. Within the times set for the mower to operate, it will automatically determine the best times to mow for an optimum result. If mowing is interrupted due to rain, it will automatically catch up later within the specified mowing times set. This dynamic mowing plan can be adjusted at any time via the control panel.
Wheels With Traction Pattern
The robotic mowers wheels are conveniently self-cleaning and the smooth-running wheels with traction pattern ensure that the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower moves with precision. Especially on hilly lawns with a gradient of up to 45% and thicker grass.
STIHL IMOW FAQ’s
How do I adjust the cutting height?
You can adjust the cutting height using the rotary knob on top of the iMOW® robotic mower. Select the desired cutting height with reference to the marking on the rotary knob.
- The minimum cutting height (setting 1) is 20 mm
- The maximum cutting height (setting 8) is 60 mm
What happens to the cuttings?
The iMOW® robotic mower is a mulching mower. During mulching, the grass clippings are further shredded in the mowing deck housing after cutting. They then fall back into the turf, where they remain and decompose. The finely shredded clippings return organic nutrients to the lawn, serving as a natural fertiliser. Fertiliser requirements are thereby reduced significantly.
Where are the ‘no go’ areas?
No-go areas are areas where the iMOW® robotic mower should not venture. No-go areas can include
- Ponds
- Swimming pools
- Flowerbeds
- Vegetable patches
These areas must be cordoned off by routing the perimeter wire accordingly
Can the RMI 632 Robotic Lawnmower mow lawn edges cleanly?
Soft edges (ground level patios, paths, etc.) are positioned inside the perimeter wire in such a way that the mower produces perfectly clean results. Around hard edges such as walls, raised patios, etc., the iMOW® robotic mower is installed in such a way that it travels as close to the edge as possible, but always safely.
How does the rain sensor work?
The rain sensor can be set so that mowing is interrupted or does not start when it is raining. The current value is displayed in a line diagram in the menu under “SMART” > “Weather” > “Rain sensor”. In order to set the 5-stage sensor, slide the control to the left or right. The rain sensor can also be set under “Settings” > “Rain sensor”. The sensitivity of the rain sensor and the time the robotic mower waits for the sensor surface to dry following rain varies, depending on the setting.
What happens when the battery on the IMOW is completely discharged?
The iMOW® robotic mower enters the docking station automatically at the end of the mowing operation or when the battery is low on energy. The number and duration of the mowing and charging operations within the active times are adapted fully automatically – Download PDF Manual Here (If Available)
