Introducing the Stihl RT6 Series ride-on mower range

Demanding lawns are no match for the RT6112 ZL, with a combination of high power and precision steering. Designed with comfort in mind, all the controls are within easy grasp from the riding position. To make it super easy to drive to your desired mowing speed, the single accelerator pedal working with the hydrostatic gearbox ensures you can control the speed much like an automatic car; the harder you push down, the faster you will go. Feeling a little lazy? Then simply activate to cruise control feature to set your desired speed, and steer to mowing heaven. Should you need to a quick change in direction, the reverse and forward gear lever are located on the steering column – allowing speedy changes you need to turn around. Combine this with the outstanding small turn circle of the garden tractor, you will literally be running rings around any obstacles in your path. Installed with a twin-cylinder 12 HP engine, the Stihl RT 6112 ZL needs large 20-inch wheels on the rear and 16-inch on the front to put down grip. However, these turf tyres are cleverly designed to ensure the grip won’t damage your freshly cut lawn. Keeping comfy for your mowing operation means you need a supportive, comfortable seat, which Stihl’s sprung-loaded adjustable seat delivers just that. An unmatched grass cutting system

Stihl’s RT6112ZL comes with an impressive 110-centimetre cutting width, making short work of large lawn areas. We recommend this Stihl ride-on is used for lawns up to 2 acres. Activating the mowing deck is stress-free, push the button on the LCD panel – this engages the blades via an electromagnetic clutch. Optimising the efficiency of your mowers cutting ability is effortless, Stihl’s ride-on mower has a catchment system to feed grass inwards towards the rotating blade. This means the full cutting width is used, lifting the grass for a perfectly neat cut. Furthermore, you can adjust the cutting height to one of eight steps, choose a blade height as low as 30 millimetres to a longer cut up to 110 millimetres. Moving the lever to control the central adjuster is straightforward, it’s location is beside the driver’s seat, making quick changes to maximise a stripey lawn pattern super simple.

Grass cutting unloading – dumper style

A grass catcher box with a 350-litre capacity is to the rear of the RT 6112 ZL, ideal for making fewer stops on your mower operation. This will compactly store all your grass clippings into a wasteless space until it’s full. A handy “grass catcher box full” light will display on the LCD control panel, to notify you when it’s time to empty. Emptying your grass clippings is trouble-free, the use of the dumper design allows you to empty from the comfort of the rider’s seat.

Cruise control function

This function can be conveniently activated at the press of a button. You can therefore control the speed of your STIHL ride-on mower automatically and continue to work tirelessly.

Turf tyres

The large turf tyres of the STIHL ride-on mower help to protect the lawn. Thanks to their rounded tyre design, they reduce the formation of driving tracks.

Trailer hitch

LCD display

Central cutting height adjustment

The lever to adjust the deck cutting height is located directly next to the driver’s seat. It enables individual adjustment of the cutting height in up to eight steps.

Robust frame

The robust frame construction gives the mower a high level of stability and driving comfort. The STIHL ride-on mowers compact design is great for using attachments such as the AGW 098 garden roller or PICK 300 tilting trailer.

Synchronous mowing deck

The synchronous mowing deck provides consistent cutting quality and optimum grass flow through to the catcher box. This is made possible by the synchronised rotation of the blades, which are offset by 90°.

Spring-loaded and adjustable seat

The most comfortable seat position can be set without the use of tools. This allows individual adjustment of the driver’s seat to almost any body size.

Low step

The low step on the STIHL ride-on mowers provides ample legroom and allows for comfortable access to the seat.

Catching management system

The catching system guides the grass blades across the entire working width of the mowing deck. It helps to guide the grass towards the mowing blades for a more efficient cut.

Grass catcher box with bow handle

The polymer grass catcher box can be emptied effortlessly from the driver’s seat simply using the curved shaped handle. The “dumper” design ensures optimum filling and residual-free emptying of the grass catcher box. Cleaning the catcher box is also easy.

Single pedal drive

With the STIHL single pedal drive, the direction of travel can be conveniently switched between forward and reverse gear using a hand lever for quick manoeuvring. The pressure-sensitive pedal allows for precise control of the speed between top speed and standstill. The separate brake pedal ensures immediate stopping.

Electromagnetic blade clutch (EBC)

The mowing deck can be easily engaged and disengaged by a switch situated on the control panel.

Mulching function

With the mulch insert, the STIHL ride-on mowers can be converted into mulching mowers. The grass catcher box is simply removed and the mulch insert pushed into the grass catcher chute. This allows the grass to be shredded into fine particles inside the closed housing before they fall back into the turf, returning vital nutrients and moisture to the soil. Through this natural form of fertilising, there is no need to dispose of the grass.
