SERVICE KIT FOR FS 38 AND FS 55: LONGER SERVICE LIFE THANKS TO PROACTIVE AND REGULAR MAINTENANCE
To extend the life of your STIHL petrol brush cutter , you can carry out simple maintenance tasks yourself with the Service Kit 47. Regular standard maintenance, such as replacing the air and fuel filters and changing the spark plug, is usually quick and helps prolong the life of the extend engine . In this way you contribute to the prevention of dirt and damage to the components and parts and you ensure that your brush cutter always works reliably and optimally.

The STIHL Service Kit 47 for the STIHL petrol brush cutters FS 38 (with STIHL 2-MIX engine) and FS 55 (with STIHL 2-MIX engine) contains the following elements for standard maintenance:

• Non-woven fabric air filter
• Spark plug
• Fuel filter
• Attention: The Service Kit 47 can only be used for the model’s FS 38 and FS 55 with the STIHL 2-MIX engine. To choose the correct Service Kit, you must take into account that the spark plug of your brush cutter must have the thread size M10.

The STIHL fleece filter offers good filter quality under various operating conditions. It captures large dirt particles on the surface and retains fine dirt particles inside the filter. The engine of your brush cutter is thus perfectly protected against the ingress of abrasive dust. Performance is maintained, fuel consumption is low and you can start your machine with the usual ease.

The fuel filter helps prevent foreign particles from entering the engine through the fuel. Regular replacement of this part helps to protect the engine and thus also extends the life of your machine. To maintain performance, we also recommend replacing the spark plug regularly for stable, cleaner combustion in the engine.

To replace the air filter and spark plug, it is best to use the handy combination wrench that came with your STIHL brush cutter. A cardboard hook is also included in the Service Kit package. This allows you to remove and replace the fuel filter. You do n’t need any extra tools.
