Stihl’s TS 440 is a petrol-powered disc cutter, the powerful choice for cutting in limited access areas. This model features an expanded guard adjustment range and QuickStopTM cutting wheel brake technology that can stop the wheel rotation simultaneously in the event of kickback. This disc cutter fits wheels with a diameter of 350 mm for abrasive cutting. Because the movable guard is rotatable, it is a perfect tool for cutting and undercutting pipes and using them in hard-to-reach places. A compact, high-performance two-mix engine and electronic water control make this a reliable and economical option.

The Stihl TS440 features a QuickStop wheel brake, extremely safe

For operational safety, the TS 440’s guard can extend to the top to expose the cutting wheel. QuickStop brake technology allows for this expanded guard adjustability due to its ability to halt cutting wheel rotation in a fraction of a second in the event of kickback.

The belt drives in two stages.

Because a two-stage belt drive powers the TS440, it is characterised by a high cutting wheel torque. It helps reduce the chance of bogging the engine by allowing higher feed force to utilise to the engine.

Controls the water flow at (A)

It is possible to control the water flow of the TS 440 using simple buttons while the engine is running. A pump then turns on and off the water automatically during cutting, based on engine speed. With just a few pushes of the plus or minus buttons, the user can regulate the water volume to provide optimum dust suppression.

Technology that reduces emissions

This 2-stroke engine has stratified charging. During the charge cycle, a layer of air is created between the combustion chamber and the crankcase, resulting in a reduced loss of fuel. Consequently, it generates more power with a lower weight, consumes up to 20 percent less energy, and emits much less exhaust.

The pre-filtering system for air separation

The longer filter life provided by long-life air filtration systems with pre-separation is noticeable compared to conventional filter systems. The air swirls as it draws in from the air intake of the TS 440. It is the heavier, larger particles that are ejected. Air that has been pre-cleaned travels to the air filter through the pre-separator duct.

A guard made of magnesium

It is exceptionally light to have a cutting wheel guard made from magnesium diecast. Water attachments and guards are a purposeful design with an incredibly ergonomic style.

System designed to reduce vibrations

Handle vibrations on power tools can have long-term harmful effects on blood vessel health in the hands and arms. To cut down on vibrations at the handles has developed a system where this Stihl TS 440 engine’s oscillations are dampened.

Fuel pump (Purger) with manual operation

The carburettor’s fuel is delivered via a small fuel pump that is operated by a button. By doing so, fewer strokes are needed to begin operations after extended breaks.
