Sprayers are essential equipment in any gardener’s toolbox.

They provide a simple and efficient means of delivering the appropriate amount of material to the appropriate location and typically come in three main types, Tank, Backpack and Hose Ended.

So Why Would You Need a Garden Sprayer?

All enable you to do the following:

• Calculate the precise amount of material needed for the job.
• Adjust the spray exactly from a coarse, drenching mist to a long-range targeted stream.
• Start and pause the spraying as needed and prevent overspray by accurately applying material with a long-reaching hose and spray wand.
• Spray up, down, and underneath leaves (where most insects and plant diseases can be found)
• Purchase concentrated lawn and garden treatment materials, which are sometimes less expensive than premixed alternatives.

You must first determine the problem or task before selecting a garden sprayer. Some areas can be sprayed spot-on with modest doses of pesticide, while others (lawns or vast gardens) require a larger-capacity sprayer.

Sprayers range in sizes greatly, so finding the right size to meet your specific gardening needs will be simple.

Gardeners should ideally keep at least two sprayers on hand, one for herbicide and one for insecticide. Many herbicide residues are difficult to entirely remove from inside a sprayer tank, and this remaining residue may harm your plants.
