Fuel-saving technology as standard

Stihl’s BG86C 2-stroke engine allows for a stratified charge. Creating a fuel-free layer of air between the burned load in the combustion chamber and the crankcase’s fresh fuel/air mixture reduces the amount of fuel lost during the charge cycle. The
advantages of which results in more horsepower with a better power to weight ratio. By buying this leaf blower, you can benefit up to 20% lower fuel consumption than conventional 2-stroke engines and significantly decreased exhaust emissions.

A miniature fuel pump transfers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button, decreasing the amount of starting strokes needed following a break, when not in use.

Another significant improvement with the Stihl BG86 CE is the ErgoStart which cuts the effort to start the leaf blower, allowing you to pull the starter cord with just one-third of the usual force.

Stihl has kept the BG86 relative maintenance-free, installing an HD2 filter, constructed from polyethylene filter material. The pores are up to 70% finer than those of substitute filters, excluding even the finest dust. Likewise, it resists oil and
water and is consequently incredibly effortless to clean. The filter cartridge can be inserted and removed without tools.

For safety, the working machine turns off quickly after a brief press of a switch. Once the motor is at a halt, the ignition initiates automatically, anticipating it is ready to start.

Reduced-emission engine technology

2-stroke engine with stratified charge. HD2 Filter

The HD2 filter, made from polyethylene filter material, has pores that are up to 70% finer than those of fleexe and polyamide filters and therefore eliminates even the finest dust. In addition, it repels oil and water and is therefore very easy to clean. The PET filter cartridge can be removed and inserted without tools.

Throttle lock with built in stop switch
