The Stihl HS82 RC-E uses a 2-MIX engine, specially designed for the new generation of hedge trimmers. This means it benefits from better fuel economy and lower emissions whilst being lightweight.

It equips you with the capability to cut even thicker branches. Additionally, a long-life air filter system helps to preserve the engine and ensures more significant cleaning intervals. Tool-free filler fuel and oil caps can be opened and closed quickly and easily.

This HS 82 R features a double-sided cutting blade with wider tooth spacing and more extended tooth height. The gearbox provides an exceptionally high cutting power.

Perfect for larger volume cutting, this hedge trimmer offers the possibility of cutting more expansive branches. Its blade is double-sided and sharpened on both sides to further improve cutting speed.

Stihl’s ErgoStart coupled with an electronic ignition module, and manual fuel pump results in a substantial improvement in easy starting. The energy needed to start the machine is halved, with force necessary to pull the starter cord just a third customarily required.

The handle can be twisted by 90 degrees to the left and right to accomplish the most desirable cutting position.

Cutting variation (R)

The gearing allows a high cutting power at a medium stroke rate. The R variations provide the possibility of cutting thicker branches and completing clearing work faster.

Swivelling multi-function handle

The handle rotates by 90° to the left and right, ensuring the best cutting position at all times.

Electronic ignition module

This ensures reliable starting and trouble-free running. The ignition system is fully encapsulated and thus protected from damp and dirt.

Manual fuel pump (Purger)

A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting pulls required following extended breaks in operations.

Anti-vibration system

Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine’s engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.

STIHL ErgoStart (E)

A genuine advance in easy starting. STIHL ErgoStart (E) cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force. All it takes is 2 fingers and a gentle pull action.
