The RM 448 TX Petrol Lawn Mower is an Economic petrol lawnmower with a 1-speed drive.

With a cutting width of 46 cm, the STIHL RM 448 TX petrol lawnmower is the economic choice for medium-sized lawns, up to 1200m². Its effort-saving 1-speed drive is great for steeper lawns. Well-thought-out details such as the super-soft grip and easy running wheels make this mower comfortable to use, especially for longer periods. The grass level indicator on the catcher box shows you when it needs to be emptied, so you don’t overfill and block the chute. For ease of use, the polymer grass catcher box is simple to open and empty thanks to a fold-open mechanism.

The central cutting height adjustment can be adjusted to the desired lawn height in six settings. You can also mulch your lawn using the RM 448 TX, this petrol lawnmower can be converted to a Multi-mower with the appropriate mulching kit available as an accessory. The RM 448 TX comes with a 5-year extended domestic warranty (subject to registration and annual servicing).

Central cutting height adjustment

The central cutting height adjustment is spring-loaded, which makes it easy to set the desired cutting height in several settings. The current height is indicated by a scale.

Easy start engine (ReadyStart)

Thanks to the ReadyStart technology, the engine of the STIHL petrol lawnmower can be reliably started up with minimal effort both during cold and warm starting.

Self-propelled

Self-propelled STIHL lawnmowers take the effort out of lawn mowing. The drive mechanism propels the mower without it physically having to be pushed. This makes working easier, especially on large lawns and inclines.

High lift blade

The high lift blade gives a precise finish to the lawn and ensures optimal filling of the grass catcher box. The blade creates a strong air current in the housing, which makes the grass stand upright before cutting and efficiently carries the clippings into the catcher box using an integrated and powerful airflow system.

Fold-open grass catcher box with level indicator

The plastic grass catcher box can be easily opened and emptied thanks to its folding mechanism. The current of air produced during mowing blows the clippings into the grass catcher box and ensures a high degree of filling. Thanks to the downward-facing vanes, the air is guided sideways towards the ground, preventing dirt from being thrown up. The level indicator signals the correct time for emptying. The airflow generated by the blade raises the level indicator.

When the basket is full, the airflow stops. If the airflow is too low, the level indicator returns to its idle state and this is an indication to empty the catcher box. Optimal airflow is required in order for the level indicator to function fully. External influences such as wet, dense or tall grass, a low cutting height, contamination, etc. may affect the airflow and the performance of the level indicator.

Smooth running wheels

The smooth-running wheels of the STIHL lawn mowers are extremely robust and hard-wearing. They have been equipped with a traction pattern and directional stability tread pattern for effortless manoeuvring and to help hold the perfect line during mowing.

Carrying handles

This STIHL lawnmower is equipped with carrying handles to make transport simple and loading easy. The carrying handles are also suitable as lashing points for securing the lawnmower with a strap during transport.

QuickFix quick-clamping devices

The QuickFix clamping devices can be used to effortlessly fasten or release the handlebar of the STIHL lawnmower. This enables the lawnmower to be folded away compactly or made ready for action without using tools.

Super-soft grip

The super-soft grip is comfortable to hold, especially when used over longer periods.

Height-adjustable handlebar

The handlebar can be set to several positions to suit your body height. This individual height adjustment ensures greater comfort without affecting the stability or manoeuvrability of the STIHL lawnmower.
