Advanced Features of the Stihl TS410 Disc Cutter

As a result of the new technology of the TS410, the new 2-stroke engine has a stratified charge which Stihl describes as a fuel-free layer of air generated between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase.

Equally significant is the reduction of fuel lost during a charge cycle. The result is that it has more power and yet is lighter weight. Compared to the standard 2-stroke engine, the development of this is that you can experience a 20% reduction for lower fuel consumption with reduced emissions.

Reduced-emission engine technology

2-stroke engine with stratified charge.
